With just days left until the release of Grand Theft Auto VI, Rockstar Games has decided to whet excitement for the game with a large new batch of official images. The studio has unveiled The Launch Gallery, a special launch gallery featuring nearly 40 new GTA 6 screenshots. They showcase Vice City, other locations across the state of Leonidas, familiar protagonists, and several previously unseen details of the game world.
GTA 6 is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, so this new collection could very well be Rockstar 's last major screenshot update before launch. And judging by the materials, the developers clearly want us to see as many details as possible before the game's release.
Rockstar Games announced the release of a new gallery on social media, noting that Grand Theft Auto VI official release is just two weeks away. Along with the announcement, the studio released over 30 images, though some publications estimate the total number of new screenshots to be nearly 40.
The collection covers a wide range of aspects of the upcoming game. It includes city streets, nightlife, establishment interiors, cars, animals, supporting characters, and, of course, the crime scenes that are essential to GTA.

It's especially gratifying that Rockstar didn't limit itself to just more portraits of Jason and Lucia. The new images allow us to better explore the environments, architecture, NPC daily life, and the diversity of locations. Leonida's world is gradually revealed in greater detail, and each new screenshot adds a few interesting details to the already familiar picture.
The main characters Grand Theft Auto VI
Most of the images are dedicated to the two protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Rockstar showed the characters in various outfits and situations, once again drawing attention to the appearance customization system.
Judging by the screenshots, players will see the characters not only during criminal adventures but also in more familiar, everyday settings. The various clothing options, environments, and character interactions help better evoke their lives in Leonidas.
Joint images of Jason and Lucia deserve special attention. Their relationship and shared crimes remain a central part GTA 6, so any new footage featuring both characters is particularly exciting.
GTA 6 geography revealed in new images
The Launch Gallery features more than just the central districts of Vice City. Rockstar also showcased other areas of the fictional state of Leonidas, providing a more comprehensive understanding of the game's diverse world.

Among the locations dedicated to individual image collections:
The diversity of locations is especially evident in the city shots. GTA 6 isn't meant to be limited to the streets of Vice City, and the new images once again emphasize that there's much more to explore than just one metropolis.
Perhaps the most interesting shots are those in which Rockstar shows not just beautiful landscapes, but specific gameplay situations.
One of the images features a scene reminiscent of a mall robbery. Jason and Lucia, judging by the shot, are attempting to escape on a motorcycle. This is one of the most interesting moments in the collection, as it offers a glimpse into the game's criminal element in an unusual setting.
The gallery also features new interiors filled with patrons and additional supporting characters. Among them, a character seemingly linked to rapper Kodak Black caught my eye. However, the image itself shouldn't be taken as confirmation of the artist's full participation in the game.

Overall, Rockstar continues to showcase the denseness of the game world: screenshots reveal numerous people, vehicles, animals, and small environmental details. These elements create the feeling of a living city, not just a pretty backdrop.
The new gallery has arrived at an opportune moment. The scheduled release on November 19, 2026, is just around the corner, and preparations for the launch are gradually reaching the final stretch.
It's possible that The Launch Gallery will be the last major collection of images before the game's release. However, Rockstar hasn't officially announced that it will no longer publish screenshots, so this is just speculation for now.
GTA 6 pre-loading is also approaching, allowing digital owners to get the game ready for launch in advance.
Personally, I want Rockstar to continue showing this kind of footage right up until the release. Even a few new shots can generate more discussion than yet another general trailer, especially when it comes to open-world details, interiors, and supporting characters.
Which of the new GTA 6 screenshot collections did you like the most—Jason, Lucia, Vice City, or Leonida's new territories?

What do you think?
