We’ve known for the longest time when Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming to PlayStation and XBOX consoles, but its PC status is still up in the air. However, one of the most recognizable analysts has said when GTA 6 is coming to PC.

Grand Theft Auto 6 releases on PS5 and XBOX Series X|S on November 19. No more delays. It’s happening. PlayStation and XBOX owners can begin the first of hundreds of thousands of hours in Rockstar’s new world, while PC owners watch from the shadows.

Industry analyst Michael Pachter was recently interviewed by the BBC about GTA 6. During the conversation, Pachter brought up Grand Theft Auto 6’s platforms and how it isn’t an exclusive title. But he not only said it was coming to PC, which we know, but gave a quite specific timeframe:
“The game is not exclusive on PlayStation 5, it’s also coming out on the XBOX Series [X|S], and in about 6 or 7 months it will come out on PC. Lots of people are going to have access to it, but the boom for Sony right now is that people have to have a console if they want to play it at launch.”
This is a much shorter window, but if true, it’s better news if you’re a PC owner waiting to unleash your wild, criminal side.
But remember, until Rockstar Games makes an official announcement, PC players should maintain realistic expectations. Double-dipping has always been a core part of Rockstar’s financial strategy, enticing hardcore fans to buy the console version first and then double down on the enhanced PC release later. Whether Pachter’s 6-to-7-month prediction holds true or we end up waiting well over a year, one thing remains clear: Vice City will eventually welcome PC players, but patience will be required.
