Rockstar Games and Miami-Dade County have entered into a multimillion-dollar promotional agreement for Grand Theft Auto VI . Furthermore, concept images have already emerged demonstrating what the city's landmarks might look like after extensive Vice City -style redesigns. With just three weeks to go until the release of one of the most anticipated games in recent years, Miami is gradually beginning to transform into a true Vice City. However, it appears Rockstar Games isn't limiting itself to its already-implemented advertising projects.
In a new press release, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava announced that Rockstar Games will contribute $3.9 million to ongoing and additional advertising campaigns Grand Theft Auto VI . This marks a new level of collaboration between the company and local authorities, with the game's promotion gradually expanding to more urban spaces.
The first elements of a large-scale advertising campaign have already been spotted in Miami. One of the most striking examples is the Vice City sign installed on the roof of the Kaseya Center arena. It has become a prominent part of the city's advertising campaign and clearly demonstrates the scale of GTA 6 promotion. But this appears to be just the beginning.
The agreement also includes additional advertising through media companies representing Miami International Airport (MIA) and the Miami area's transportation system. Rockstar and local authorities initially planned to design the airport and transportation hubs in a Vice City themed design, but the project faced resistance from law enforcement. After several weeks of discussions, the parties have apparently moved forward with the project.

MIA and PortMiami airports will soon be adorned with Vice City -themed lighting. Additionally, advertising billboards will appear on pedestrian walkways connecting the airport's parking garages to the terminals. Themed stickers will also be placed on select traffic light control cabinets throughout the area, further enhancing the extensive advertising campaign.
Notably, Rockstar Games will cover all costs for the installation, maintenance, and subsequent dismantling of the advertising structures. This will allow the district to generate additional revenue from this partnership without shifting the costs to the local budget.
Below are concept images showing what the county envisions the airport, port, and other city features might look like after being given a Vice City -themed makeover.
Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava also commented on the agreement:
"Millions of people around the world are eagerly awaiting the release of this game, and we have the opportunity to ensure Miami-Dade County benefits from that attention. These agreements allow us to translate the excitement around the game into additional revenue for our community."
It seems GTA 6 is already beginning to transcend the boundaries of a typical game release, transforming into a large-scale urban event. Miami is becoming part of Rockstar advertising campaign, and locals and tourists will be able to see elements of the fictional Vice City right on the streets of the real city.

Meanwhile, other interesting news about Grand Theft Auto VI has emerged. The game's impressive installation file size has been revealed, along with reports of copies being sent to various media outlets for review purposes, and new data on pre-order popularity.
